The Metals Company (TMC) has reached a key permitting milestone as NOAA published its consolidated application for exploration and commercial recovery in the USA-A contract area. This publication starts the formal public review process for the project located in the Clarion Clipperton Zone.
TMC announced that NOAA has published its consolidated application for an exploration license and commercial recovery permit for the TMC USA-A project in the Federal Register. The application covers an expanded area of ~65,000 km2 with an estimated resource of 619 million tonnes of polymetallic nodules.
