## Minestarters Atlas summary

Volta Metals Ltd. reported drill results from its Springer Rare Earth Element deposit, highlighting significant extensions of mineralization 275 meters below the current conceptual open pit. Drill hole SL26-37 returned a peak assay of 5.001% TREO and 74.1 g/t Ga2O3 over 0.65 meters, within a broader interval of 105.65 meters grading 0.63% TREO. The company plans an updated mineral resource estimate and an initial gallium resource later this year.

Reasoning: Volta Metals announced strong drill results from its Springer project, extending rare earth and gallium mineralization significantly below the current open pit model and confirming high-grade zones. The results include a bonanza 5.001% TREO intercept and continuous mineralization over long intervals, indicating strong growth potential ahead of an updated resource estimate.

- Positive factor: Significant extension of mineralization below current open pit model

- Positive factor: High-grade TREO intercept \(5.001% TREO\) in SL26-37

- Positive factor: Continuous rare earth and gallium mineralization over long intervals

- Positive factor: Confirmation of near-surface mineralization and continuity at depth

- Positive factor: Upcoming updated resource estimate incorporating new drilling

- Negative factor: True width of mineralization is unknown

Facts used in scoring: 50

## Classification and evidence

**Bonanza Intercept**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.

Why it applies: The intercept of 5.001% TREO over 0.65m in SL26-37 is exceptionally high-grade for rare earth elements, well above typical economic thresholds.

Evidence · table

> 5.001

Context: 0.65

**Step-Out Extension**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.

Why it applies: Drill hole SL26-37 extends rare earth and gallium mineralization approximately 275 m below the current conceptual open pit, expanding the known mineralized footprint.

Evidence · text

> SL26-37 extends rare earth and gallium mineralization approximately 275 m below the current conceptual open pit

**QA/QC Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods \(blanks, standards, duplicates\).

Why it applies: The release details a strict QA/QC protocol including insertion of standards, blanks, and duplicates, analysis by an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited lab \(SRC\), and review by a Qualified Person.

Evidence · text

> Volta implemented a strict QA/QC protocol in processing all rock samples collected from the diamond drill core obtained from the Springer property. The protocol included inserting reference materials, in this case high-concentration and low-concentration certified rare earth element and gallium standards, blanks, and drill core duplicates, to validate the accuracy and precision of the assay results. All collected rock core samples were cut in half by a rock saw, placed in sturdy plastic bags and zip-tied shut while under the supervision of a professional geologist. The remaining half core was returned to the core box, which is stored on the Property. The samples were shipped from Volta's core shack in Sturgeon Falls to the SRC's facility in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, using the Manitoulin Transport freight shipping company. The drill core samples were analyzed at SRC using Lithium metaborate fusion with subsequent analysis by ICP-MS. SRC holds ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation from the Standards Council of Canada \("SCC"\). Syenite standard SY-5 from Natural Resources Canada was inserted by SRC in the sample stream for every 20 drill core samples. Standard SY-5 passed within two standard deviations for rare earth elements \(La to Lu\) and Ga. All internal standards and duplicates, and all external blanks, standards and core duplicates, passed a Quality Control review by the Qualified Person.

**Apparent Width Only**

Polarity: negative

Definition: Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.

Why it applies: The document explicitly states that 'True thickness/width of mineralization is unknown; intervals are reported as downhole core lengths'.

Evidence · text

> True thickness/width of mineralization is unknown; intervals are reported as downhole core lengths.

**Infill Drilling**

Polarity: neutral

Definition: Confirmatory drilling to raise resource confidence, not new discovery.

Why it applies: Drill hole SL26-39 is described as an 'infill definition drill hole' situated entirely within the current mineral resource shell.

Evidence · text

> Drilled as an infill definition drill hole between SL12-18 and SL25-26, SL26-39 is situated entirely within the current mineral resource shell and conceptual open pit

**Resource Update**

Polarity: neutral

Definition: Revised estimate for an existing resource — compare to prior to assess progress.

Why it applies: The company is targeting completion of an updated mineral resource estimate for the Springer deposit by late 2026, incorporating the new drilling.

Evidence · text

> Following receipt of all 2026 assay results, Volta is targeting completion of an updated mineral resource estimate for the Springer deposit by late 2026.

**Maiden Resource**

Polarity: neutral

Definition: First formal MRE for the project — establishes baseline but typically exploration-stage with high Inferred component.

Why it applies: The company is targeting an 'initial gallium mineral resource estimate', which would be the first gallium resource declared for the Property.

Evidence · text

> the first is an initial gallium mineral resource estimate, which would be the first gallium resource declared for the Property.

## How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
