Summary

Thunder Gold Corp. announced infill diamond drill results from its Tower Mountain Property, highlighted by a combined intersection of 411.0 metres averaging 0.514 g/t Au from hole TM25-186/186X. This infill drilling exceeded model-predicted grades by 18% and suggests strong sub-vertical continuity that remains open at depth. Additionally, the company awarded a Magnetotellurics airborne survey to improve drill targeting for deeper mineralization, and restated its January 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate.

Reasoning: Thunder Gold reported a significant 411.0-metre gold intercept from infill drilling at its Tower Mountain Property, which exceeded model predictions and suggests continuity at depth. While the grade is moderate, the length is substantial for infill. The company also awarded a geophysical survey to aid future deep drilling. The resource estimate included is a restatement of a prior MRE.

Positive factors

  • Long intercept of 411.0 metres averaging 0.514 g/t Au from combined hole TM25-186/186X
  • Drill results exceeded model predicted grade by 18%
  • Infill drilling indicates net positive grade correlation to the 2026 MRE
  • Suggests strong, sub-vertical continuity and remains open at depth
  • Average gold grade appears to be increasing with depth
  • Magnetotellurics (MT) survey awarded to improve drill targeting at depth
  • Comprehensive QA/QC procedures disclosed with certified labs and QP sign-off

Negative factors

  • True width cannot be estimated due to lack of data and sub-parallel drilling
  • Grade of 0.514 g/t Au is below the project's historical average grade of 10.227 g/t Au
  • Resource estimate is a restatement of a prior MRE with no new information

Facts used in scoring: 23

Classification and evidence

Apparent Width Onlynegative

Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.

Why it applies: The release explicitly states 'True Width cannot be estimated at this time due to lack of data' for all reported intercepts.

Evidence · text

“True Width cannot be estimated at this time due to lack of data”

No True Width Disclosurenegative · Story-specific tag

No canonical definition is currently available.

Why it applies: The release explicitly states 'True Width cannot be estimated at this time due to lack of data' for all reported intercepts.

QA/QC Disclosedpositive

Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).

Why it applies: The release details QA/QC procedures including certified labs (Activation Laboratories Ltd., AGAT Laboratories), standards, blanks, duplicates, and re-assay protocols.

Evidence · text

“Quality Assurance and Quality Control Diamond drilling utilizes NQ diameter tooling. The core is received at the on-site logging facility where it is photographed, logged for geotechnical, physical properties and geological data. Samples are identified, recorded, and cut in half by wet diamond saw. Half the core is sent for assay at an accredited laboratory with the remaining half core stored on site. A standard sample length of 1.5 meters is typically employed, varying only at major lithological contacts. Certified standards and blanks are randomly inserted into the sample stream and constitute approximately 10% of the sample stream. Certified standards and blank performance is monitored with any failures evaluated and investigated to determine if said failure is a result of error during submission. Any unexplained failures are identified and the five samples preceding and following the failure are re-assayed. Commencing in 2026, duplicate pulps are prepared at a rate of 1 in every 20 samples. The duplicate pulps are sent to a second independent analytical facility for analyses. Activation Laboratories Ltd., Thunder Bay, Ontario, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is the primary independent analytical service provider. AGAT Laboratories, Thunder Bay, Ontario, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is the secondary, independent analytical facility. Samples are, received, dried, crushed to 80% passing 2.0 mm. A 250-gram sample is split and pulverized. Samples are analyzed for gold using a 30-gram lead collection fire assay fusion (FA) with an atomic absorption (AAS) finish. All assay results greater than 5.0 g/t Au are re-assayed using a gravimetric analysis. All assays greater than 30.0 g/t Au are re-assayed using screen metallics where a representative 1000-gram sample is split sieved at 149µm. Assays are performed on the entire +149 µm fraction and two splits of the -149 µm fraction. A final assay is calculated based on the weight of each size fraction.”

Confirmatory drilling to raise resource confidence, not new discovery.

Why it applies: The document explicitly states the drill results are from 'infill diamond drill results from the Bench Target'.

Reasoning: This long intercept from the extension hole confirms continuity and exceeded model predictions, contributing positively to the resource understanding, despite the moderate grade and unknown true width.

Positive factors

  • Long intercept of 252.0 metres from the extension hole
  • Infill drilling exceeded model predicted grade by 18%
  • Suggests strong, sub-vertical continuity and remains open at depth

Negative factors

  • True width cannot be estimated
  • Grade of 0.443 g/t Au is below the project's historical average grade

Reasoning: The awarding of a Magnetotellurics airborne survey is a positive step for future exploration, aiming to improve drill targeting at depth, although it is a planning stage activity.

Positive factors

  • Magnetotellurics (MT) survey can clarify alteration changes at depth
  • Aims to improve drill targeting for the core of the Tower Mountain system
  • Expected results by mid-November will inform future drilling

Reasoning: This is a restatement of the existing Indicated Mineral Resource Estimate, providing no new information but confirming the previously reported figures under compliant standards.

Positive factors

  • Resource estimate is NI 43-101 compliant and signed off by Qualified Persons
  • Indicated category provides reasonable geological confidence

Negative factors

  • This is a restatement of a prior MRE, not a new update

Tags used in scoring

Indicated Resourcepositive

Reasonable geological confidence based on adequate drilling; continuity can be assumed. Basis for Probable Reserves.

Why it applies: category is "indicated"

Cut-off Disclosedpositive

Cut-off grade used for resource reporting is clearly stated, enabling like-for-like comparison.

Why it applies: cutoff_grade is stated

QP/CP Signedpositive

Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) named and signed off — a member of a recognized professional association (e.g., AusIMM, SME, AIG, P.Geo) with relevant experience.

Why it applies: qp_signed is true

NI 43-101 Compliantpositive

Resource estimate prepared in compliance with NI 43-101 (Canada) — high reporting standard.

Why it applies: reporting_standards includes ni_43_101

Resource Updateneutral

Revised estimate for an existing resource — compare to prior to assess progress.

Why it applies: the release compares against a previous estimate

Reasoning: This is a restatement of the existing Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate, providing no new information but confirming the previously reported figures under compliant standards. The Inferred nature indicates early-stage confidence.

Positive factors

  • Resource estimate is NI 43-101 compliant and signed off by Qualified Persons

Negative factors

  • This is a restatement of a prior MRE, not a new update
  • Inferred category has lower geological confidence and cannot support economic studies alone

How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
