Summary
Silver Viper Minerals Corp. announced additional infill drilling results from the El Rubi Zone at its La Virginia Gold-Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico. The program successfully intersected high-grade gold and silver mineralization, with notable intercepts including 0.60m at 28.10 g/t Au and 12.65 g/t Ag, and 3.50m at 6.99 g/t Au and 460.29 g/t Ag. These results are expected to increase confidence levels and support future reclassification of resources to higher categories, positioning the company for meaningful resource growth.
Reasoning: The infill drilling successfully confirmed high-grade gold-silver mineralization within the El Rubi Zone, providing data to support future resource reclassification to higher confidence categories and potential resource growth. While some holes did not yield significant results and true widths are estimated, the overall program strengthens the understanding of the deposit, backed by strong QA/QC.
Positive factors
- High-grade gold and silver intercepts
- Infill drilling supports resource upgrade
- Strong QA/QC disclosure
- QP sign-off
- Positions for meaningful resource growth
Negative factors
- Some holes returned no significant intervals
- Depth expansion not achieved in some cases
- True width is estimated rather than precisely stated for each interval
- Metal equivalent calculations use different recovery assumptions for AuEq and AgEq
- Minor base metal sulfides present
Facts used in scoring: 60
Classification and evidence
Infill Drillingneutral
Confirmatory drilling to raise resource confidence, not new discovery.
Why it applies: The document explicitly states that the drill holes were 'infill drill holes' and 'tightens drill spacing within El Rubi'.
Evidence · text
“additional 9 infill drill holes at El Rubi have been completed”
QA/QC Disclosedpositive
Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).
Why it applies: The release includes a detailed 'QA/QC Analytical results' section describing sample preparation, assay methods, and monitoring procedures.
Evidence · text
“QA/QC Analytical results of drill intercepts reported by Silver Viper reflect samples of halved HQ or NQ2 diameter diamond drill core submitted directly to ALS Chemex located in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. Samples were crushed, split and pulverized as per ALS Chemex method PREP-31, then analyzed for gold by lead collection fire assay fusion on a 30-gram split with Au-Gra21, and for a multi-element suite including silver by multi-acid digestion with ICP-MS finish (Lab code ME-MS61). Samples triggering precious metal over-limit thresholds of 10 g/t Au and 10,000 g/t Ag were re-tested by lead collection fire assay fusion with gravimetric finish (Ag-OG62). Silver Viper monitors QA/QC using commercially sourced standards and locally sourced blank materials inserted within the sample sequence at regular intervals. Silver Viper has submitted sample pulp duplicates to ALS Labs in Hermosillo, Mexico for third-party verification. Silver Viper has possession of all current and historical diamond drill core and sample pulps as generated on the property since 2010. The Company has conducted a review of the historical drilling data by physical checks of existing drill pads and drill core and verified the tenor of mineralized intervals by portable XRF on core and sample pulps.”
QP/CP Signedpositive · Story-specific tag
Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) named and signed off — a member of a recognized professional association (e.g., AusIMM, SME, AIG, P.Geo) with relevant experience.
Why it applies: Gernot Wober, P.Geo., is named as the Qualified Person who reviewed and approved the technical information.
Evidence · text
“Gernot Wober, P.Geo., Technical Advisor to Silver Viper Minerals Corp., is the Qualified Person as defined in National Instrument 43-101 and has reviewed and approved the technical information contained in this release.”
Apparent Width Onlynegative
Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.
Why it applies: The document states that 'Drill intervals are estimated to represent 70% to 90% of true widths' rather than providing specific true widths for each intercept.
Evidence · text
“Drill intervals are estimated to represent 70% to 90% of true widths.”
Category Upgradepositive · Story-specific tag
Resource confidence improved — Inferred upgraded to Indicated, or Indicated to Measured. De-risking signal.
Why it applies: The drilling aims to allow 'future reclassification of resources to higher confidence classification categories'.
Evidence · text
“allowing for future reclassification of resources to higher confidence classification categories”
Tonnage Growthpositive · Story-specific tag
Significant tonnage increase (≥15%) vs prior estimate with grade maintained or improved.
Why it applies: The company states the infill drilling 'positions Silver Viper well for meaningful resource growth'.
Evidence · text
“positions Silver Viper well for meaningful resource growth”

How Atlas produces this analysis
Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
