Minestarters Atlas analysis

Summary

Revival Gold announced initial drill results from its Mercur Gold Project in Utah, including 30.5 meters at 1.65 g/t gold and 30.5 meters at 0.92 g/t gold. These results are part of a larger drilling program focused on converting Inferred Mineral Resources to higher confidence categories for a Pre-Feasibility Study, as well as exploring for resource expansion opportunities. The company highlighted the potential for extending leachable material zones below the planned open pit.

Reasoning: Revival Gold's initial drill results from the Mercur Project include significant gold intercepts over broad widths, supporting the project's open-pit, heap-leachable potential and advancing it towards a Pre-Feasibility Study. The program aims for both resource conversion and expansion, with strong transparency in QA/QC and reporting.

Positive factors

  • Headline intercepts show strong widths and good grades for an open-pit, heap-leachable gold project.
  • Drilling supports both resource conversion for a PFS and potential resource expansion.
  • Comprehensive QA/QC procedures are disclosed, including certified lab and QP sign-off.
  • True width estimates and compositing parameters (cut-off grade, internal dilution) are provided, enhancing transparency.

Negative factors

  • True width is provided as a range (60-95%), not a single definitive value.

Low confidence — this extraction should be reviewed alongside the original source.

Atlas analysis — Revival Gold Inc.: Revival Gold Intersects 1.65 g/t Gold over 30.5 Meters & 0.92 g/t Gold over 30.5 Meters at Mercur Project in Utah

Classification and evidence

QA/QC Disclosedpositive

Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).

Why it applies: The release includes a detailed QA/QC Program section mentioning certified reference materials, duplicate samples, blanks, and an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited lab (ALS), with sign-off by Qualified Persons.

Evidence · text

“QA/QC Program Quality Assurance/Quality Control consists of the regular insertion of certified reference materials, duplicate samples, and blanks into the sample stream. Sample results are analyzed immediately upon receipt, and all discrepancies are investigated. Samples are submitted to the ALS Geochemistry sample preparation facility in Elko, Nevada. Gold analyses are performed at the ALS Geochemistry laboratory in Reno, Nevada or Vancouver, British Columbia, and multi-element geochemical analyses are completed at the ALS Minerals laboratory in Vancouver, British Columbia. ALS Minerals is an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited lab. Gold assays are determined on reverse circulation drill cuttings by fire assay and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) on a 30-gram nominal sample weight (Au-AA23). For samples containing greater than 100 ppb Au as determined by Fire Assay, gold content is also determined by cyanide leach with an AAS finish on a nominal 30-gram sample weight (Au-AA13). Multi-element geochemical analyses are completed on composites samples from selected drill holes using the ME-MS 41 method. Qualified Persons Technical information included in this news release was reviewed and approved by Mr. John Meyer, P.Eng., a QP and Vice President, Engineering and Development for the Company, and Mr. Dan Pace, RM SME, a QP and Chief Geologist for the Company.”

True Width Disclosedpositive

Actual thickness perpendicular to structure is stated, not just downhole length.

Why it applies: The document states that 'True width for all holes is estimated to be 60-95% of drilled width', providing an estimate for the actual thickness.

Evidence · text

“True width for all holes is estimated to be 60-95% of drilled width.”

Infill Drillingneutral

Confirmatory drilling to raise resource confidence, not new discovery.

Why it applies: The release explicitly states that 'Approximately 8,500 meters of infill RC drilling is planned for Mercur this year to convert Inferred Mineral Resources to the Measured & Indicated categories'.

Evidence · text

“Approximately 8,500 meters of infill RC drilling is planned for Mercur this year to convert Inferred Mineral Resources to the Measured & Indicated categories in support of a Preliminary Feasibility Study ("PFS") targeted for completion by the end of Q1-2027.”

Step-Out Extensionpositive

Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.

Why it applies: The company plans 'An additional 2,500 meters of RC drilling, 1,200 meters of core drilling and 600 meters of auger drilling are planned for Mercur to pursue resource expansion opportunities'.

Evidence · text

“An additional 2,500 meters of RC drilling, 1,200 meters of core drilling and 600 meters of auger drilling are planned for Mercur to pursue resource expansion opportunities.”

Compositing Transparentpositive

Cut-off grade and internal dilution rules are clearly stated for reported intervals.

Why it applies: The document specifies that 'Mineralized intercepts are calculated based on a 0.17 g/t cutoff grade allowing up to two intervals of internal dilution'.

Evidence · text

“Mineralized intercepts are calculated based on a 0.17 g/t cutoff grade allowing up to two intervals of internal dilution.”

Cut-off Disclosedpositive · Story-specific tag

Cut-off grade used for resource reporting is clearly stated, enabling like-for-like comparison.

Why it applies: The cut-off grade used for calculating mineralized intercepts is clearly stated as '0.17 g/t'.

Evidence · text

“Mineralized intercepts are calculated based on a 0.17 g/t cutoff grade allowing up to two intervals of internal dilution.”

How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
