## Minestarters Atlas summary

Northwest Copper announced significant drill results from three holes in the Western Zone at its Kwanika project, highlighted by 110.0 metres grading 1.86% copper equivalent \(0.64% copper and 1.10 g/t gold\) from 378 metres. The drilling confirmed geological and grade continuity, extended mineralization, and identified new mineralized structures, with the aim of reducing drill hole spacing to support future mineral resource updates. All results were supported by disclosed QA/QC procedures and metal equivalent assumptions.

Reasoning: New drill results from the Kwanika Western Zone confirm and extend high-grade copper-gold porphyry mineralization over significant widths, including a bonanza CuEq intercept, with true widths estimated and clear intent to support future resource classification.

## Classification and evidence

**True Width Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Actual thickness perpendicular to structure is stated, not just downhole length.

Why it applies: The document explicitly states estimated true widths for the reported intercepts, such as 'estimated true width of 84.3 metres'.

Evidence · text

> estimated true width of 84.3 metres

**QA/QC Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods \(blanks, standards, duplicates\).

Why it applies: The release includes detailed QA/QC disclosure, mentioning supervision by NorthWest and InData Geoscience, assay QA/QC checks by Explore Geosolutions, use of blanks and standards, and a certified laboratory \(Actlabs ISO 17025\).

Evidence · text

> Quality Assurance / Quality Control Drilling at Kwanika in 2026 was designed and supervised by NorthWest and implemented by InData Geoscience with assay QA/QC checks by Explore Geosolutions. Samples were collected, tracked and an external QA/QC program was implemented using coarse blanks and certified prepared blanks and standards to monitor analytical accuracy and precision. The samples were sealed on site and shipped to Activation Laboratories Ltd. \(“Actlabs”\) in Kamloops, BC. The laboratory’s internal quality control system complies with global certifications for quality ISO 17025. Drill core samples were analyzed using a combination of Actlabs multi-element 1F2 analysis for low level concentrations \(4-Acid Digestion, ICP-OES\) and the 8-4 Acid ICP-OES analysis for higher level concentrations \(4-Acid Digestion, ICP-OES with automatic over limits for base metals and silver\). Gold, platinum and palladium assaying was completed with 1C-OES method, using a 30-gram fire assay with ICP finish analysis. In addition, about 5% of the sample pulps are re-assayed at a secondary laboratory to confirm reproducibility and check for bias. Technical aspects of this news release have been reviewed, verified, and approved by Geoff Chinn, P.Geo., VP Business Development and Exploration for NorthWest, who is a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects.

**Infill Drilling**

Polarity: neutral

Definition: Confirmatory drilling to raise resource confidence, not new discovery.

Why it applies: The drill program's objective included 'reducing drill hole spacing to approximately 50 metres to support increased confidence in the classification of future mineral resource updates' and 'infill an area previously tested by low angle to mineralization to improve geological and grade continuity'.

Evidence · text

> reducing drill hole spacing to approximately 50 metres to support increased confidence in the classification of future mineral resource updates

**Step-Out Extension**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.

Why it applies: The drilling identified 'a new mineralized structure above previously defined zones' and 'an additional primary porphyry mineralized zone immediately below previously defined mineralized structures, highlighting further expansion potential'.

Evidence · text

> intersected a new mineralized structure above previously defined mineralized zones, grading 1.07% CuEq over 30 metres, and identified an additional primary porphyry mineralized zone immediately below previously defined mineralized structures, highlighting further expansion potential at Kwanika.

#### Tags used in scoring

**True Width Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Actual thickness perpendicular to structure is stated, not just downhole length.

Why it applies: true\_width\_m is 15.3

**QA/QC Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods \(blanks, standards, duplicates\).

Why it applies: qaqc\_disclosed is true

**Cut-off Undisclosed**

Polarity: negative

Definition: High-grade interval reported without stating the cut-off grade used for compositing.

Why it applies: no cutoff\_grade was stated

## How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
