## Minestarters Atlas summary

NexMetals Mining Corp. announced high-grade drill results from hole SMD-26-219 at its Selebi Main deposit in Botswana, including 7.55 metres grading 6.48% CuEq \(2.70% Cu, 1.83% Ni\). This confirms a thick, high-grade massive sulphide intersection and extends the high-grade trend to approximately 1.5 kilometres. Additionally, visual intercepts from drill hole SMD-26-217 extended the trend further and discovered a new third mineralized zone, with assays pending for this hole.

Reasoning: NexMetals reported high-grade copper-nickel equivalent drill results from SMD-26-219, confirming significant mineralization. The program also extended the high-grade trend and discovered a new mineralized zone with visual intercepts in SMD-26-217, indicating strong potential for resource growth, although assays for SMD-26-217 are pending.

- Positive factor: High-grade copper-nickel equivalent intercepts in SMD-26-219

- Positive factor: Significant extension of the high-grade trend by 100 metres in SMD-26-217

- Positive factor: Discovery of a new Third Zone of massive sulphide mineralization

- Positive factor: True width estimates provided for reported intercepts

- Positive factor: Detailed QA/QC procedures disclosed, including certified lab and QP sign-off

- Positive factor: Metal equivalent assumptions are transparently disclosed

- Negative factor: Assays are pending for all intercepts in drill hole SMD-26-217

- Negative factor: Cut-off grades for reported intervals are not disclosed

- Negative factor: Cobalt analyses are not consistently available for MRE inclusion

Low confidence — this extraction should be reviewed alongside the original source.

## Classification and evidence

**Bonanza Intercept**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.

Why it applies: The intercept of 7.55 metres grading 6.48% CuEq \(2.70% Cu, 1.83% Ni\) in SMD-26-219 is exceptionally high-grade, well above the typical thresholds for massive sulphide deposits.

Evidence · text

> 7.55 metres grading 6.48% CuEq \(2.70% Cu and 1.83% Ni\)

**True Width Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Actual thickness perpendicular to structure is stated, not just downhole length.

Why it applies: The table includes an 'Est. True Thickness' column, providing estimated true widths for the reported intercepts.

Evidence · table

Context: Length \(m\)

**Step-Out Extension**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.

Why it applies: Drill hole SMD-26-217 extended the interpreted High-Grade Trend by approximately 100 metres toward Selebi North, and SMD-26-219 was also a step-out hole.

Evidence · text

> SMD-26-217 extended the High-Grade Trend by a further 100 metres toward Selebi North

**QA/QC Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods \(blanks, standards, duplicates\).

Why it applies: The release includes a 'Quality Control and Data Verification' section detailing sample preparation, lab analysis \(ALS Geochemistry\), and insertion of blanks and standards.

Evidence · text

> Quality Control and Data Verification The program is being executed using three company-owned underground Zinex U5 drills which were converted into surface A5 drills, and two Marcotte HTM2500 drills purchased by the Company capable of drilling to depths of 2,550 metres \(NQ core\). Drill core samples are either NQ \(47.75 mm diameter\) or BQ \(36.40 mm diameter\). All samples are ½ core samples cut by a diamond saw on site and the remaining half of the core is retained for reference purposes. Samples are generally 1.0 to 1.5 metre intervals or less at the discretion of the site geologists. Sample preparation and lab analysis was completed at ALS Geochemistry in Johannesburg, South Africa. Commercially prepared Blank samples and certified Cu/Ni sulphide analytical control standards with a range of grades are inserted in every batch of 20 samples or a minimum of one set per sample batch. Analyses for Ni, Cu and Co are completed using a peroxide fusion preparation and ICP-AES finish \(ME-ICP81\). Analyses for Pt, Pd, and Au are by fire assay \(30 grams nominal sample weight\) with an ICP-AES finish \(PGM-ICP23\). Holes are numbered as follows: SMD \(Selebi Main Deposit\) + year + hole number starting at 201. The Qualified Person has verified the data through contribution to the core handling and sampling procedures, visits to the drill and core processing facilities, monitoring of core logging results and sample selection, review of core assay and QAQC results.

Context: 20.85

**Cut-off Undisclosed**

Polarity: negative

Definition: High-grade interval reported without stating the cut-off grade used for compositing.

Why it applies: The document reports drill intervals and grades but does not state the cut-off grade used for compositing these intervals.

Evidence · text

Reasoning: This visual intercept represents the discovery of a new mineralized zone over a good width, indicating potential for expansion, but the lack of assays reduces confidence in its economic impact.

- Positive factor: Discovery of a new mineralized zone

- Positive factor: Good intercept length with good true width

- Positive factor: True width disclosed

- Positive factor: QA/QC procedures disclosed

- Positive factor: QP signed off on technical information

- Negative factor: Assays pending for this intercept

- Negative factor: Cut-off grade for interval not disclosed

- Negative factor: Cobalt analyses not consistently available for MRE inclusion

## How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
