Minestarters Atlas analysis
Summary
Red Pine Exploration announced high-grade gold assay results from 18 drill holes at its Wawa Gold Project in Ontario, including 82.80 g/t gold over 0.92 metres within a broader intercept of 10.05 g/t gold over 8.59 metres. These results expand and confirm near-surface gold mineralization with open-pit potential, supporting the ongoing Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA). The company reported strong QA/QC measures and noted that true widths are estimated to vary between 50% to 95% of reported core lengths.
Reasoning: The drill results demonstrate significant high-grade gold intercepts, including a new best grade and a substantial increase in the grade-thickness product compared to prior results. The program successfully expands and confirms near-surface mineralization with open-pit potential, which is highly material for the ongoing PEA. The comprehensive QA/QC disclosure adds strong confidence to the results.
Positive factors
- High-grade intercepts, including 82.80 g/t Au over 0.92 m, exceeding prior best grade and significantly improving GT product.
- Expansion of near-surface gold mineralization in areas with open pit potential, supporting ongoing PEA.
- Confirmation of continuous gold mineralization through infill drilling, de-risking the resource.
- Comprehensive QA/QC disclosure with certified labs and QP sign-off.
Negative factors
- True widths are estimated as a range (50-95%) rather than specific values for each intercept.
Facts used in scoring: 29
Classification and evidence
Bonanza Interceptpositive
Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.
Why it applies: The intercept of 82.80 g/t Au over 0.92 m is an exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm and the project's prior best grade.
Evidence · table
“82.80”
Context: 0.92
Tonnage Growthpositive · Story-specific tag
Significant tonnage increase (≥15%) vs prior estimate with grade maintained or improved.
Why it applies: The drilling program is designed to define and extend near-surface gold mineralization and expand the mineral inventory, with results like SD-25-593 and SD-25-616 contributing to this goal.
Evidence · text
“The drill program is designed to define and extend near-surface gold mineralization in the areas with open pit potential”
QA/QC Disclosedpositive
Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).
Why it applies: The release includes detailed QA/QC disclosure, mentioning certified labs (Actlabs, Agat), QP sign-off, and methods like blanks, standards, and duplicates.
Evidence · text
“Quality Assurance/Quality Control ("QA/QC") Measures Individual drill core samples are labelled and sawn in half along a pre-marked cutting line. A consistent half-core sample is then placed in an individual numbered plastic sample bag that is sealed. The remaining half-core samples are kept at the Company’s core storage facility located on the Wawa Gold project. Quarter-core duplicates are taken from certain samples to define the variability of gold distribution. Groups of samples are then placed into durable rice bags sealed with security seals to be transported by commercial carrier for analysis at Activation Laboratories Ltd. (Actlabs), Ancaster, Ontario. NQ core assays are obtained by 50-gram fire-assay with a AA finish or by 1-kilogram metallic screen fire assay. The 1-kilogram metallic screen assay method is selected for samples anticipated to contain coarse gold and when the original fire-assay returns results greater or equal to 2.25 g/t Au. The residual coarse reject portions of the samples remain in storage for a minimum 90-day period if further work or verification is needed. As part of its QA/QC program, Red Pine inserts external gold standards (low- to high-grade) and blanks every 20 samples and routinely inserts blanks immediately after samples with visible gold. Quarter core duplicates are routinely inserted to evaluate the natural variability of gold mineralization. Assay certificates are sent to at least three members of the senior management team, and they are directly accessible from the WebLIMS portal of Actlabs. Approximately 5% of the pulps and coarse rejects analyzed at Actlabs are sent to Agat Laboratories in Thunder Bay for umpire testing.”
Compositing Transparentpositive
Cut-off grade and internal dilution rules are clearly stated for reported intervals.
Why it applies: The cut-off grade (0.40 g/t Au) and internal dilution rules (maximum of 6.0 m) for reported intervals are clearly stated.
Evidence · text
“Intercepts are calculated using a 0.40 g/t Au cut-off and a maximum of 6.0 m of internal dilution with no capping applied and are reported over core lengths.”
Apparent Width Onlynegative
Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.
Why it applies: True widths are estimated to vary between 50% to 95% of the reported core length, indicating that specific true widths are not provided for each intercept.
Evidence · text
“True widths are estimated to vary between 50 to 95% of the reported core length in the Jubilee Shear.”
Infill Drillingneutral
Confirmatory drilling to raise resource confidence, not new discovery.
Why it applies: The release explicitly mentions 'infill drilling' aimed at evaluating open-pit potential and confirming continuity.
Evidence · text
“Additionally, our infill and continuity-focused drilling aimed at evaluating open-pit potential has confirmed the presence of continuous gold mineralization”

Reasoning: This intercept is a highly material result, demonstrating exceptional gold grades over a significant width, substantially improving the project's grade-thickness profile and confirming high-grade continuity in a key area.
Positive factors
- Exceptional gold grade over a significant width for an open-pit project.
- Grade-thickness product (86.3 g/t*m) significantly exceeds prior best (61.1 g/t*m).
- Grade (10.05 g/t) is well above the orogenic gold 75th percentile (5.3 g/t).
- Confirms continuity of high-grade mineralization in the Jubilee area.

Reasoning: This bonanza-grade sub-interval is the highlight of the release, representing a new best grade for the project and demonstrating extremely high-grade gold mineralization, which is highly material and novel.
Positive factors
- Bonanza gold grade, significantly exceeding the exceptional threshold for open-pit gold.
- New best grade for the project (82.80 g/t Au vs prior 82.5 g/t Au).
- High-grade sub-interval within a broader bonanza zone, indicating extreme localized enrichment.
Negative factors
- Very narrow intercept length.

How Atlas produces this analysis
Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
