## Minestarters Atlas summary

Midland Exploration, in partnership with Rio Tinto Exploration Canada, announced new high-grade lithium and cesium intercepts from its 2025 drilling program on the Galinée project. Key results include 1.77% Li2O over 18.4 metres and 9.15% Cs2O over 6.4 metres, along with new gold mineralization. The program successfully identified new pegmatites and extended known mineralization, with all assay results received.

Reasoning: Midland Exploration, in partnership with Rio Tinto, announced high-grade lithium and bonanza-grade cesium intercepts over significant widths, along with new gold mineralization, indicating strong exploration success and potential for resource expansion on the Galinée project. The results demonstrate high novelty with new discoveries and extensions.

Facts used in scoring: 13

## Classification and evidence

**Bonanza Intercept**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.

Why it applies: The intercept of 9.15% Cs2O over 6.4 metres in hole TLIB0006 is an exceptionally high grade for cesium.

Evidence · table

> 9.15

Context: 6.4

**Apparent Width Only**

Polarity: negative

Definition: Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.

Why it applies: The document explicitly states that 'The true thickness of mineralized intervals cannot be determined with the information currently available.'

Evidence · text

> The true thickness of mineralized intervals cannot be determined with the information currently available.

**QA/QC Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods \(blanks, standards, duplicates\).

Why it applies: The release includes a detailed 'Quality Control' section mentioning the insertion of blanks, duplicates, and standards, analysis by ALS Laboratories, and sign-off by a Qualified Person.

Evidence · text

> RTEC sampling protocols include the insertion of blanks, duplicates, and standards as such: Internal blanks were inserted at the beginning of every drill hole, or sample batch, and were inserted every 30 samples throughout. Field duplicates of ¼ cut drill cores were also inserted every 30 samples \(with the parent sample immediately preceding\). At least 1 CRM standard was inserted within every intersected pegmatite interval. CRM materials used included OREAS 750, OREAS 751, OREAS 753 and OREAS 999 for mineralized samples; OREAS 520 and OREAS 524 for unmineralized materials. All samples were prepared by ALS Laboratories in Thunder Bay using a preparation package whereby the entire sample is crushed to 70% less than 2-millimetre mesh size using a Boyd crusher and splitter combination. A one-kilogram split of crushed material is pulverized to better than 85% passing 75 microns mesh size. ALS internally sends all pulps to ALS Geochemistry in Vancouver for analysis. Pegmatite materials were analyzed by a multi-method analytical package: \(1\) ME-MS61L four acid digest and ICP-MS multicollector multi-element analysis, \(2\) ME-ICP06 lithium borate fusion whole rock analysis, and \(3\) ME-MS81 lithium borate fusion trace element analysis. All samples reporting >4500 ppm Li are reported by both a dilution method from the four-acid digest ME-MS61L and reanalyzed by Li-ICP82b sodium peroxide fusion and ICP-AES determination.

**Cut-off Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Story-specific tag

Definition: Cut-off grade used for resource reporting is clearly stated, enabling like-for-like comparison.

Why it applies: The cut-off grades for compositing lithium and cesium intervals are clearly stated as 0.40% Li2O and 0.30% Cs2O respectively.

Evidence · text

> Composite intervals with pegmatites greater than 10 metres and 0.40% Li 2 O% cut-off grade

**Step-Out Extension**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.

Why it applies: The objectives of the drilling campaign included conducting 'step-outs throughout the property to test structural targets'.

Evidence · text

> conduct step-outs throughout the property to test structural targets

**Infill Drilling**

Polarity: neutral

Definition: Confirmatory drilling to raise resource confidence, not new discovery.

Why it applies: The drilling program aimed to 'follow up on 2024 intersections that were mainly outside the core of the main Iceberg area'.

Evidence · text

> follow up on 2024 intersections that were mainly outside the core of the main Iceberg area

**Nearology Play**

Polarity: neutral

Definition: Value premise rests on proximity to a known deposit rather than own results.

Why it applies: The Galinée project is explicitly located 'approximately 5 kilometres east of the Adina lithium deposit held by Winsome Resources'.

Evidence · text

> The Galinée project is located approximately 5 kilometres east of the Adina lithium deposit held by Winsome Resources

## How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
