## Minestarters Atlas summary

K2 Gold Corporation announced results from four drill holes at its Dragonfly Zone, part of the Mojave Project, confirming multiple stacked high-grade oxide gold structures. The drilling, a 40m step-back from a 2020 discovery, extended mineralization down-dip and laterally, with notable intercepts including 3.05m of 17.55 g/t Au and 27.43m of 4.08 g/t Au. The company reports that the system remains open in all directions, with additional results pending from an ongoing 14,000m drill campaign.

Reasoning: K2 Gold's latest drill results from the Dragonfly Zone confirm and extend high-grade oxide gold mineralization with several significant intercepts, including 3.05m of 17.55 g/t Au, demonstrating a robust and expanding mineralized system.

- Positive factor: High-grade gold intercepts

- Positive factor: Extension of known mineralization

- Positive factor: Confirmation of multiple stacked structures

- Positive factor: Oxide gold mineralization

- Positive factor: Strong continuity indicated

- Negative factor: True width of mineralization is unknown

Low confidence — this extraction should be reviewed alongside the original source.

Facts used in scoring: 20

## Classification and evidence

**Apparent Width Only**

Polarity: negative

Definition: Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.

Why it applies: The document explicitly states that 'Reported widths are from angled drill holes and are drilled/apparent widths; true thickness of mineralization is currently unknown.'

Evidence · text

> \*Reported widths are from angled drill holes and are drilled/apparent widths; true thickness of mineralization is currently unknown.

**Step-Out Extension**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.

Why it applies: The drilling was designed as a '40m step back to the west' and to 'target the down-dip and lateral extension' of previous discoveries.

Evidence · text

> Results from these four holes drilled off the second pad of the 2026 program confirm the presence of multiple stacked structures hosting high-grade oxide gold in a 40m step back to the west of K2’s 2020 discovery intercept.

**QA/QC Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods \(blanks, standards, duplicates\).

Why it applies: The release details the Qualified Person, laboratory, accreditation, and QA/QC methods including blanks and standards.

Evidence · text

> The technical information in this news release has been prepared in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements set out in NI 43-101 and reviewed and approved by Eric Buitenhuis, M.Sc., P.Geo., K2’s QP and Vice President of Exploration. The analytical work for the 2026 drilling program was performed by ALS Laboratories \(“ALS”\) an internationally recognized and accredited analytical services provider. All samples were submitted to ALS’s Reno, Nevada facility, where they were prepared using procedure PREP-31Y \(dry, crush entire sample to 2mm, rotary split and pulverize 250g to better than 85% passing 75 microns\). Samples were then shipped to the ALS laboratory in North Vancouver, BC, Canada, where pulp samples were analysed for gold by method Au-ICP21, a 30-gram Fire Assay fusion with an ICP-AES finish. Samples returning >10 g/t Au by Fire Assay were subsequently analysed with method Au-GRA21, a 30-gram fire assay with a gravimetric finish. A 0.25g pulp was analysed by method ME-MS61, a 4-acid digestion and ICP-MS finish for 48 elements. Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures include inserting coarse blanks and certified assay standards into the sample string at a rate of approximately 1/10 \(10%\). K2 personnel placed samples in sealed bags and shipped them to ALS.

**Bonanza Intercept**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.

Why it applies: The intercept of 17.55 g/t Au over 3.05m is well above the exceptional threshold for gold in an open pit setting \(5 g/t Au\).

Evidence · table

> 17.55

Context: 3.05

**Deleterious Elements Present**

Polarity: negative

Definition: Penalty elements \(arsenic, antimony, etc.\) or refractory concerns noted in the release.

Why it applies: The document mentions 'elevated As, Ag, Sb, Tl' in geochemical associations to gold.

Evidence · text

> Geochemical associations to Au include elevated As, Ag, Sb, Tl and typically depleted Ca.

**Mill Route**

Polarity: neutral

Definition: Processing via mill or concentrator \(CIL, CIP, tank leach, flotation\).

Why it applies: the document describes a mill\_cil route \("CIL"\)

Reasoning: A 16.76m intercept at 3.03 g/t Au is a strong grade, further supporting the presence of high-grade zones within the broader mineralized envelope.

- Positive factor: Strong gold grade

- Positive factor: Significant intercept length

- Positive factor: Confirms strong mineralization within broader zone

- Negative factor: True width unknown

Evidence · table

> 3.03

Context: 16.76

## How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
