Summary
ICG Silver & Gold announced high-grade gold and silver drill results from the first six holes of its Phase 1 drill program at the Tuscarora District, Nevada. The program identified a new high-grade gold zone at the Battle Mountain target, highlighted by an intercept of 24.3 meters at 10.14 g/t gold, including 1.5 meters at 137.0 g/t gold. These results have been integrated into an updated 3D model to refine geological interpretation and guide future exploration.
Reasoning: The announcement confirms and highlights exceptional high-grade gold intercepts from the Battle Mountain target, consistent with the project's best prior results. The integration of these results into an updated 3D model provides valuable geological context and refines future exploration targeting, despite the raw assay data having been released a few days prior.
Positive factors
- High-grade gold intercepts
- New high-grade gold zone identified
- Integration of results into a 3D model for refined targeting
- QP review and QA/QC disclosure
Negative factors
- Apparent width only
- Results from only six holes reported so far

Classification and evidence
Bonanza Interceptpositive
Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.
Why it applies: The intercept of 1.5 meters at 137.0 g/t gold in T26RC-04 is exceptionally high-grade, well above the exceptional threshold for epithermal gold deposits.
Evidence · table
“137.00”
Context: 1.5
Apparent Width Onlynegative
Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.
Why it applies: The document explicitly states that 'Sufficient work has not been completed to determine true widths for the intervals reported. All intervals are reported as depth of sample.'
Evidence · text
“Sufficient work has not been completed to determine true widths for the intervals reported. All intervals are reported as depth of sample.”
QA/QC Disclosedpositive
Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).
Why it applies: The release includes detailed QA/QC procedures, mentioning sample collection under supervision, secure transport, chain-of-custody, ALS Global Laboratories, fire assay with gravimetric finish, multi-element ICP-MS analysis, and regular inserts of certified reference materials, blanks, and duplicate samples.
Evidence · text
“Samples were collected under the supervision of Company personnel, securely sealed and transported under chain-of-custody procedures to ALS Global Laboratories in Elko, Nevada, for sample preparation and analysis. ALS Global Laboratories is independent of the Company. The Tuscarora District Phase 1 Drill Program drill samples were collected at 1.5-meter (5-foot) intervals. Samples were prepared using the ALS PREP-31Y package, where the sample is crushed to a target of 70% passing 2 millimeters, a 250-gram subsample is obtained using a rotary splitter, and the subsample is pulverized to a target of 85% passing 75 microns. Gold was analyzed using the Au-GRA21 package consisting of a 30-gram fire assay with a gravimetric finish. Multi-element analysis is performed using ME-MS61, a four-acid digestion with an ICP-MS finish that provides near-total recovery for a suite of 48 elements. The Company's quality assurance and quality control program requires regular inserts of certified reference materials, blanks, and duplicate samples into the sample stream. Company personnel review and validate analytical results and laboratory quality-control data before public disclosure.”
QP/CP Signedpositive · Story-specific tag
Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) named and signed off — a member of a recognized professional association (e.g., AusIMM, SME, AIG, P.Geo) with relevant experience.
Why it applies: The scientific and technical information has been reviewed and approved by Steven L. McMillin, P.G., an Independent Consultant and 'Qualified Person' as defined by National Instrument 43-101.

How Atlas produces this analysis
Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
