Minestarters Atlas analysis
Summary
Group Eleven Resources announced exceptional step-out drill results from its Ballywire discovery in the Republic of Ireland, with hole 25-3552-35 intersecting 39.7m of 9.5% Zn+Pb, 131 g/t Ag and 0.27% Cu, including a high-grade sub-interval. This represents the best hole yet at Ballywire, extending the strike length and demonstrating significantly thicker mineralization. The results also highlight the potential for a deeper copper-silver target, which is currently being drill tested.
Reasoning: Group Eleven's latest step-out drill hole at Ballywire, 25-3552-35, delivered exceptional zinc, lead, and silver grades over significant widths, representing the best hole to date and extending the known mineralization. The results also indicate a promising deeper copper-silver target, adding substantial novelty and materiality to the project.
Positive factors
- Exceptional grade-width product for zinc, lead, and silver
- Significant step-out extension of mineralization
- Discovery of much thicker mineralization than previously encountered
- Identification of a new deeper copper-silver target
- True width of intercepts disclosed
- Comprehensive QA/QC disclosure
Negative factors
- Metal equivalent assumptions not disclosed
Low confidence — this extraction should be reviewed alongside the original source.
Facts used in scoring: 80

Classification and evidence
Bonanza Interceptpositive
Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.
Why it applies: The intercept of 0.93m at 16.2% Zn, 18.9% Pb, 556.0 g/t Ag, and 1.13% Cu is exceptionally high-grade, well above the deposit-type norm for all primary metals.

“35.10”
Context: 0.93
True Width Disclosedpositive
Actual thickness perpendicular to structure is stated, not just downhole length.
Why it applies: The document states that 'True thickness is estimated to be 90-100% of the intervals noted above and below'.
Evidence · text
“True thickness is estimated to be 90-100% of the intervals noted above and below”
Step-Out Extensionpositive
Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.
Why it applies: The drill results are explicitly described as 'latest step-out drill results' and 'extend the strike length of the immediate Ballywire discovery corridor from 1,250m to 1,300m'.
Evidence · text
“latest step-out drill results”
QA/QC Disclosedpositive
Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).
Why it applies: The release includes disclosure of a Qualified Person sign-off, use of ALS Laboratories, and mention of certified reference materials and blank material in its QA/QC programme.
Evidence · text
“Technical information in this news release has been approved by Professor Garth Earls, Eur Geol, P.Geo, FSEG, geological consultant at IGS (International Geoscience Services) Limited, and independent 'Qualified Person' as defined under Canadian National Instrument 43-101. Sampling and Analytical Procedures All core drilled at Ballywire is NQ (47.6mm) and is cut using a rock saw. Sample intervals vary between 0.55m to 1.32m with an average (over 188 samples) of 0.92m. The half-core samples are bagged, labelled and sealed at Group Eleven's core store facility in Limerick, Ireland. Selected sample bags are examined by the Qualified Person. Transport is via an accredited courier service and/or by Group Eleven staff to ALS Laboratories in Loughrea Co. Galway, Ireland. Sample preparation at the ALS facility comprises fine crushing 70% < 2mm, riffle splitter, pulverise up to 250g 85% < 75um. Analytical procedures are 34 element four acid ICP-AES (codes ME-ICP61 and ME-OG62). Other than paying for a professional analytical service, Group Eleven has no relationship with ALS. Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Information Group Eleven inserts certified reference materials ("CRMs" or "Standards") as well as blank material, to its sample stream as part of its industry-standard QA/QC programme. The QC results have been reviewed by the Qualified Person, who is satisfied that all the results are within acceptable parameters. The Qualified Person has validated the sampling and chain of custody protocols used by Group Eleven.”
Metal Equivalent Opaquenegative
Metal equivalent grade reported without disclosing the price, recovery, or payability assumptions used.
Why it applies: The Zn+Pb (%) metal equivalent grade is reported without disclosing the metal prices or recovery assumptions used in its calculation.

How Atlas produces this analysis
Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
