Minestarters Atlas analysis

Summary

GreenLight Metals announced drill results from its Bend Copper-Gold Project in Wisconsin, including visual observations of massive to semi-massive sulfides in step-out holes B26-015 and B26-016, extending mineralization to the east and at depth. Assays are pending for these holes. Additionally, hole B26-012 returned a significant gold intercept of 55.90 metres grading 0.88 g/t gold, including 6.91 metres grading 4.38 g/t gold. The company also provided an update on federal permitting progress for the project.

Reasoning: GreenLight Metals reports encouraging visual observations of massive to semi-massive sulfides in step-out holes B26-015 and B26-016, extending mineralization at depth and along strike at the Bend Project. Hole B26-012 returned a significant high-grade gold intercept, confirming gold mineralization at depth. While these results are positive, assays are pending for the visually logged intervals, and tellurium is present in the reported assays.

Positive factors

  • Step-out drilling extends mineralization
  • High-grade gold intercept
  • Visual massive to semi-massive sulfides in step-out holes
  • True width estimated for key intercepts
  • QA/QC disclosed
  • QP signed

Negative factors

  • Assays pending for significant visual intercepts
  • Deleterious elements present (Tellurium)
  • Cut-off grade undisclosed

Facts used in scoring: 7

Classification and evidence

Step-Out Extensionpositive

Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.

Why it applies: Holes B26-015 and B26-016 are described as step-out holes intersecting mineralization to the east and at depth, extending the known copper-zone trend.

Evidence · text

“GreenLight Metals Intersects Massive to Semi-Massive Sulfides in Step-Out Holes at the Bend Copper-Gold Project”

QA/QC Disclosedpositive

Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).

Why it applies: The release details sample preparation, analytical methods by ALS Global, and the insertion of certified reference materials and blanks.

Evidence · text

“A strict chain of custody was maintained from core collection through shipment to ALS Global ("ALS"), an independent laboratory. NQ-size drill core (47.6-millimetre diameter) was transported to GreenLight's secure Medford-area core facility for geological logging, photography and sampling. Mineralized and adjacent unmineralized intervals were cut lengthwise using an electric saw; one half was submitted for analysis and the remaining half retained. Sample lengths generally ranged from 0.5 to 1.5 metres, subject to geological contacts. Samples were placed in labelled, sealed bags and shipped by ground courier to ALS in Twin Falls, Idaho. Samples were prepared using ALS method PREP-31Y: drying where required, crushing to at least 70% passing 2 millimetres, rotary splitting of a 250-gram sub-sample and pulverizing the split to 85% passing 75 micrometres. Gold was analyzed using Au-ICP21, a 30-gram fire assay with an ICP-AES finish and a reporting range of 0.001-10 ppm Au; samples exceeding the upper limit were re-analyzed using a gravimetric finish. Multi-element analysis, including tellurium, used ME-MS61, a four-acid digestion of a 0.25-gram split with ICP-MS/ICP-AES determination. Samples returning more than 1% copper were re-analyzed using Cu-OG46, a 0.4-gram aqua-regia digestion with an ICP finish and a 50% copper upper limit. Tellurium overlimits above 500 ppm were re-analyzed using Te-AAS62 with an atomic-absorption finish. Certified reference materials and blanks were inserted into the sample stream and together represented approximately 10% of submitted samples.”

True Width Disclosedpositive

Actual thickness perpendicular to structure is stated, not just downhole length.

Why it applies: True thickness estimates are provided for B26-012 (65-70%), B26-015 (80%), and B26-016 (70%) of drilled lengths.

Evidence · text

“True thickness of the interval is estimated to be 65-70% of drilled thickness.”

Apparent Width Onlynegative

Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.

Why it applies: For hole B26-013, the true thickness of the mineralized intervals is stated as currently unknown.

Evidence · text

“The true thickness of the mineralized intervals is currently unknown due to limited data nearby.”

Bonanza Interceptpositive

Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.

Why it applies: The intercept of 6.91 metres grading 4.38 g/t gold in B26-012 exceeds the 2.5 g/t gold exceptional threshold for underground VMS deposits.

Evidence · text

“6.91 metres grading 4.38 g/t gold from 493.84 metres.”

Deleterious Elements Presentnegative

Penalty elements (arsenic, antimony, etc.) or refractory concerns noted in the release.

Why it applies: Tellurium is reported in the assay results for B26-012.

Evidence · table

“32.40”

Context: 55.90

Cut-off Undisclosednegative

High-grade interval reported without stating the cut-off grade used for compositing.

Why it applies: The document states that composite grades are length-weighted but does not disclose the cut-off grade used for reporting intervals.

Evidence · text

“Composite grades are length-weighted.”

QP/CP Signedpositive · Story-specific tag

Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) named and signed off — a member of a recognized professional association (e.g., AusIMM, SME, AIG, P.Geo) with relevant experience.

Why it applies: The technical information has been reviewed and approved by Thomas Quigley, a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101.

Evidence · text

“The technical information in this news release has been prepared in accordance with Canadian regulatory requirements as set out in National Instrument 43-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects and reviewed and approved by Thomas Quigley, MSc, CPG-11962, Exploration Director of the Company, a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101.”

How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
