Minestarters Atlas analysis

Summary

Fox Tungsten Ltd. has reported initial assay results from its 2026 drill program at the Fox Tungsten Project in British Columbia, confirming multiple zones of high-grade tungsten mineralization at RC South. Highlights include 2.1 metres grading 1.43% WO3 and 7.9 metres grading 0.48% WO3, with a high-grade sub-interval of 0.4 metres grading 9.63% WO3. These results support the company's resource expansion strategy, with further assays pending from the ongoing 20,000-metre program.

Reasoning: Fox Tungsten reported initial high-grade tungsten drill results from its 2026 resource expansion program at RC South, confirming mineralization and supporting future resource growth, despite some exploration holes yielding no significant results.

Positive factors

  • High-grade tungsten intercepts reported from RC South
  • Confirmation of mineralization along the southern extension of the RC Zone
  • Resource expansion drilling supports future resource updates
  • Detailed QA/QC procedures disclosed
  • Qualified Person sign-off for technical content

Negative factors

  • Some holes returned 'No Significant Results'
  • Exploration holes at Fox North did not return significant tungsten grades
  • Only initial results from a portion of the completed holes have been released

Facts used in scoring: 19

Classification and evidence

Bonanza Interceptpositive

Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.

Why it applies: Multiple intercepts exceed the exceptional threshold of 1.8% WO3 for tungsten, including 1.94% WO3, 1.97% WO3, 9.63% WO3, and 2.35% WO3.

Evidence · text

“1.0 metre grading 1.94% WO, in hole F26-005; 1.2 metres grading 1.97% WOfrom 18.4 meters in hole F26-006; 0.4 metres grading 9.63% WO, in hole F26-012; 0.6 metres grading 2.35% WOfrom 226.5 metres”

QA/QC Disclosedpositive

Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).

Why it applies: The release includes a detailed section on Quality Assurance / Quality Control Procedures, mentioning accredited labs, internal QA/QC program, blanks, duplicates, and certified reference standards.

Evidence · text

“Quality Assurance / Quality Control Procedures NQ/NQ2 sized diamond drill core was split and sampled over intervals ranging from 0.30 metres to 2.0 metres and averaging approximately 1.3 metres. Split core samples were delivered, logged, weighed, prepared and tested at Activation Labs (ISO/IEC 17025:2017 including ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 9002 specifications), an accredited material testing facility in both Kamloops and, BC, and Ancaster, ON. Core samples are prepared via preparation package RX-1 (dry, crush (<7kg), up to 80% passing 2mm, riffle split (250g) and pulverized to 95% passing 105 µm). Trace element analysis performed on a 0.5g aliquot of pulverized material is facilitated using 1E3 (40 element ICP-OES). Tungsten analysis is performed by a lithium metaborate/tetraborate fusion digestion and testing by XRF (code 8-XRF-W) with a results range of 0.05 to 100% elemental W in %. For its own reporting, the Company converts W (%) to WO3 (%) (tungsten trioxide) by multiplying the reported W value 1.261 to obtain WO3, which is the compound for which tungsten concentrate and prices are quoted. In addition to Activation labs internal laboratory quality assurance / quality control measures, the Company implements an internal QA/QC program that includes the insertion of sample blanks, duplicates (coarse and pulp reject), and matrix appropriate certified reference standards into the sampling stream of drill core samples at a rate >10%.”

QP/CP Signedpositive · Story-specific tag

Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) named and signed off — a member of a recognized professional association (e.g., AusIMM, SME, AIG, P.Geo) with relevant experience.

Why it applies: The technical and scientific contents of the release have been verified and approved by Patrick McLaughlin, P.Geo, a Qualified Person pursuant to National Instrument 43-101.

Evidence · text

“The technical and scientific contents of this release have been verified and approved by Patrick McLaughlin, P.Geo, a Qualified Person pursuant to National Instrument 43-101, Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects.”

Apparent Width Onlynegative

Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.

Why it applies: The reported intervals are given as downhole lengths, with no true width or drill orientation information provided.

Evidence · text

“2.1 metres grading 1.43% WOfrom 34.6 meters in hole F26-003”

Resource Updateneutral · Story-specific tag

Revised estimate for an existing resource — compare to prior to assess progress.

Why it applies: The drilling program is explicitly described as 'resource expansion drilling' and is designed to support an 'updated Mineral Resource Estimate'.

Evidence · text

“Initial results from resource expansion drilling at RC South have confirmed multiple zones of tungsten mineralization”

How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
