Minestarters Atlas analysis

Summary

Fox Tungsten announced initial assay results from its 2026 drill program at the Fox Tungsten Project in British Columbia, highlighting high-grade tungsten intercepts from resource expansion drilling at RC South. Notable results include 0.4 meters grading 9.63% WO₃ and 0.6 meters grading 2.35% WO₃. The company has completed 52 holes, with over 30 assays pending, and plans to continue drilling to support an updated Mineral Resource Estimate and PEA.

Reasoning: Fox Tungsten reported initial assay results from its 2026 drill program, including multiple high-grade tungsten intercepts from resource expansion drilling at RC South. These results support the company's strategy to expand its existing high-grade tungsten resource. While some exploration holes at Fox North did not yield significant grades, the company transparently addressed this, and overall program progress is positive with many assays still pending.

Positive factors

  • High-grade tungsten intercepts reported, some significantly exceeding prior resource grades.
  • Drill program is focused on resource expansion, with initial results confirming mineralization continuity.
  • Detailed QA/QC procedures and Qualified Person sign-off enhance data credibility.

Negative factors

  • Several exploration holes returned no significant results, though this is acknowledged as providing geological information.

QA/QC Disclosedpositive

Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).

Why it applies: The release includes a detailed 'Quality Assurance / Quality Control Procedures' section outlining laboratory accreditation, sample preparation, analytical methods, and internal QA/QC program including blanks, duplicates, and certified reference standards.

Evidence · text

“Quality Assurance / Quality Control Procedures NQ/NQ2 sized diamond drill core was split and sampled over intervals ranging from 0.30 metres to 2.0 metres and averaging approximately 1.3 metres. Split core samples were delivered, logged, weighed, prepared and tested at Activation Labs (ISO/IEC 17025:2017 including ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 9002 specifications), an accredited material testing facility in both Kamloops and, BC, and Ancaster, ON. Core samples are prepared via preparation package RX-1 (dry, crush (<7kg), up to 80% passing 2mm, riffle split (250g) and pulverized to 95% passing 105 µm). Trace element analysis performed on a 0.5g aliquot of pulverized material is facilitated using 1E3 (40 element ICP-OES). Tungsten analysis is performed by a lithium metaborate/tetraborate fusion digestion and testing by XRF (code 8-XRF-W) with a results range of 0.05 to 100% elemental W in %. For its own reporting, the Company converts W (%) to WO 3 (%) (tungsten trioxide) by multiplying the reported W value 1.261 to obtain WO 3 , which is the compound for which tungsten concentrate and prices are quoted. In addition to Activation labs internal laboratory quality assurance / quality control measures, the Company implements an internal QA/QC program that includes the insertion of sample blanks, duplicates (coarse and pulp reject), and matrix appropriate certified reference standards into the sampling stream of drill core samples at a rate >10%.”

Step-Out Extensionpositive

Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.

Why it applies: The resource expansion drilling at RC South is described as demonstrating the presence of tungsten mineralization along the 'southern extension of the RC Zone'.

Evidence · text

“Resource expansion drilling at RC South continues to demonstrate the presence of tungsten mineralization along the southern extension of the RC Zone.”

How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
