Summary
Scottie Resources Corp. announced high-grade gold drill results from its Blueberry Contact Zone, including 13.0 g/t gold over 8.5 metres and 10.4 g/t gold over 7.65 metres. These new assays, part of a 20,000-metre drill program, confirm and extend the high-grade gold system, particularly validating mineralization on the siltstone side of the Blueberry Contact, which was previously thought to be limited. The company's President and CEO noted that the results exceed expectations and provide significant upside for future exploration by expanding the mineralized footprint.
Reasoning: The drill results include multiple high-grade gold intercepts with strong to exceptional grade-thickness products, significantly extending the known mineralization into the siltstone side of the Blueberry Contact Zone, validating a new geological model. The results are above the 75th percentile for orogenic gold deposits globally and contribute to expanding the project's mineralized footprint.
Positive factors
- High-grade gold intercepts
- Significant grade-thickness products
- Extension of mineralization into new geological domain (siltstone side)
- Validation of new geological concept
- QP/CP signed
- QA/QC disclosed
Negative factors
- Apparent width only

Classification and evidence
QA/QC Disclosedpositive
Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).
Why it applies: The release includes QA/QC disclosure, mentioning SGS Minerals as the analytical laboratory, secure chain of custody, and specific assay methods (fire assay, ICP-AES, emission spectrometry).
Evidence · text
“Quality Assurance and Control Results from samples taken during the 2023 field season were analyzed at SGS Minerals in Burnaby, BC. The sampling program was undertaken under the direction of Dr. Thomas Mumford. A secure chain of custody is maintained in transporting and storing of all samples. Gold was assayed using a fire assay with atomic absorption spectrometry and gravimetric finish when required (+9 g/t gold). Analysis by four acid digestion with multi-element ICP-AES analysis was conducted on all samples with silver and base metal over-limits being re-analyzed by emission spectrometry.”
QP/CP Signedpositive · Story-specific tag
Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) named and signed off — a member of a recognized professional association (e.g., AusIMM, SME, AIG, P.Geo) with relevant experience.
Why it applies: Dr. Thomas Mumford, P.Geo., a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical information.
Evidence · text
“Dr. Thomas Mumford, P.Geo., a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed the technical information contained in this news release on behalf of the Company.”
Apparent Width Onlynegative
Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.
Why it applies: All reported intervals are given as downhole widths with no true width or drill orientation information provided.

Step-Out ExtensionRejected · positive
Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.
Reason: The intercept of 88.4 g/t gold over 2.00 m in SR23-264 validates the concept of more continuity of grade further into the siltstone, providing significant upside for future drill programs to expand the mineralized footprint.
Evidence · text
“The intercept of 88.4 g/t gold over 2.00 m in SR23-264 validates this concept and provides significant upside for future drill programs to expand the mineralized footprint of the system through further exploration on the siltstone side.”

How Atlas produces this analysis
Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
