Summary

Ashley Gold Corp. announced final Phase II drill results from its Tak Project in Ontario, highlighted by an intercept of 0.304 g/t gold over 30.50 meters, including 0.454 g/t gold over 10.25 meters in hole TAK-26-09. The company noted that these results, along with other intercepts from TAK-26-08, are building a business case for infill and deep drilling, and that step-out drilling is ongoing with assays pending from Phase III holes. The release emphasizes the potential for broadening the geological model and building tonnage in the 67Z anomaly area.

Reasoning: Ashley Gold Corp. reported final Phase II drill results from the Tak Project, highlighted by a long, low-grade gold intercept in hole TAK-26-09. While grades are modest, the significant intercept lengths and ongoing step-out drilling support the potential for a bulk tonnage gold deposit. Strong QA/QC procedures enhance confidence in the data, though the lack of consistent true width disclosure and the inclusion of historical results temper the overall novelty and materiality.

Positive factors

  • Long intercept lengths in TAK-26-09 and TAK-26-08, indicating potential for bulk tonnage mineralization.
  • Strong QA/QC protocols and laboratory accreditation provide high confidence in assay results.
  • Step-out drilling is extending mineralization, suggesting potential for resource growth.
  • The company is actively exploring and planning further drilling phases.

Negative factors

  • Grades for the main intercepts are generally low, indicating a lower-grade bulk tonnage target rather than high-grade veins.
  • True width is not consistently disclosed for reported intercepts, which may overstate actual thickness.
  • Some results are historical or previously announced, reducing novelty.

Low confidence — this extraction should be reviewed alongside the original source.

QA/QC Disclosedpositive

Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).

Why it applies: The release includes a detailed QA/QC section mentioning ActLabs, ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, certified standards, blanks, duplicates, and QP sign-off.

“The Company utilizes a drill rig recovering NQ core. All core is sealed in the field by the drill contractor and transported to the core logging facility. Core is then teched and logged by the Company geologist. Prior to geological logging and cutting, all core is systematically inspected and pieced back together until interlocked, depth measurements completed, RQD/Recovery measured, photographed dry and wet, and magnetic susceptibility measurements are taken. Sample intervals are then marked by grease pencil and flagged using ActLabs sample tags. QAQC check samples are inserted every tenth sample consisting of either a blank substrate material, OREAS gold certified standard, or a duplicate is done by quarter cutting the previous sample interval and submitting the other quarter material as the QAQC sample. All samples are cut using a wet saw and placed in pre-labelled sample bags pertaining to the sample interval. When a sample interval is complete, the assay card is added to the respective sample bag and the bag is securely sealed while the matching waterproof tag is permanently stapled into the core box at the end of the sample interval. Rice bags are labelled with the company name, submission batch number, range of sample numbers contained, total number of samples, and rice bag number and range. The secured sample bags are then placed into the rice bags pertaining to the range labelled on the rice bag and then securely fastened with zip ties. Rice bags are stored in a secured shipping container until Company contractors transport completed holes to ActLabs in Dryden, ON for 1A2 Au fire assay. A sample size of 5 to 50 grams can be used but the routine size is 30 g for rock pulps, soils, or sediments (exploration samples). The sample is mixed with fire assay fluxes (borax, soda ash, silica, litharge) and with Ag added as a collector and the mixture is placed in a fire clay crucible. The mixture is then preheated at 850°C, intermediate 950°C and finish 1060°C with the entire fusion process lasting 60 minutes. The crucibles are then removed from the assay furnace and the molten slag (lighter material) is carefully poured from the crucible into a mould, leaving a lead button at the base of the mould. The lead button is then placed in a preheated cupel which absorbs the lead when cupelled at 950°C to recover the Ag (doré bead) + Au. overlimits are run under 1A3 with gravimetric finish. All geological samples from the drilling program were subjected to a rigorous QA/QC program under the supervision of the designated Qualified Person (QP). Samples were securely transported from the project site in sealed bags directly to the Activation Laboratories (ActLabs) facility for preparation and analysis. Analytical Procedures Primary Gold Analysis (Code 1A2): All samples were pulverized and analyzed for gold content using Actlabs method Code 1A2. This procedure utilizes a standard lead-collection Fire Assay (FA) on a 30-gram sample charge, followed by digestion and an Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) finish. The lower detection limit for this method is 5 ppb. Over-Limit Check Analysis (Code 1A3): For any sample returning a gold value exceeding 5.0 g/t Au under the Code 1A2 method, an automatic over-limit check was triggered. These high-grade samples were re-assayed via Actlabs method Code 1A3, utilizing a lead-collection Fire Assay followed by a direct Gravimetric (GRA) finish on a separate 30-gram charge to ensure absolute analytical accuracy for ore-grade mineralization. Laboratory Accreditation & Quality Monitoring Actlabs is an independent commercial laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 standards. In addition to the laboratory's internal QA/QC protocols (including systematically inserted blanks, duplicate samples, and certified reference materials), Ashley Gold Corp. strictly implemented its own independent QA/QC program. This included the regular insertion of certified reference standards (CRMs), field duplicates, and coarse blanks into the sample stream to independently monitor and verify laboratory precision and accuracy. The QP has reviewed the QA/QC data from Ashley Gold Corp. and confirms that the sample preparation, security, and analytical procedures meet or exceed industry best practices and standard guidelines, and that the resulting assay data is considered reliable for resource modeling and exploration reporting.”

Apparent Width Onlynegative

Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.

Why it applies: The main intercepts are given as downhole lengths (e.g., '30.50m') without explicit true width or drill orientation information for these specific intervals.

Evidence · text

“Cuts 0.304 g/t Au over 30.50m, Including 0.454 g/t Au over 10.25m in TAK-26-09”

Step-Out Extensionpositive

Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.

Why it applies: The company states that 'Step out drilling is ongoing' and TAK-26-09 represents the 'farthest collar South' in the Phase II drilling campaign.

Evidence · text

“Next Steps: Step out drilling is ongoing, the immediate area around the 67Z remains open in all directions and assays are pending from Phase III holes. Positioning: 7 Phase III holes remain pending, 7 Phase IV holes planned, hole TAK-26-19 underway, President Noah Komavli on the intercept; “The TAK-26-09 results represent the farthest collar South in Ashley’s Phase II drilling campaign, and has returned a significant interval downhole, near the 67Z anomaly - where we previously announced assays of 1.111 g/t Au over 45.85m. This lower grade halo has the ability to build tonnage - and I am eagerly awaiting step out assays from the Phase III holes. With ongoing drilling east of the 67Z, we look forward to broadening our geological model.””

Infill Drillingneutral

Confirmatory drilling to raise resource confidence, not new discovery.

Why it applies: The company mentions 'building a business case for eventual infill drilling' in the 67Z Zone.

Evidence · text

“building a business case for eventual infill drilling and deep drilling in the Zone”

Stale Data Re-releasenegative

Historical results re-announced with no new assays or reinterpretation — low genuine novelty.

Why it applies: The document references historical results from TAK-26-07 and a previously announced intercept in the 67Z anomaly for context, which are not new assays.

Evidence · text

“possibly corresponding to 4.28 g/t Au intercepted near the bottom of the TAK-26-07 hole at 109.40m depth, over 0.60m - building a business case for eventual infill drilling and deep drilling in the Zone (TAK-26-07 was announced August 26, 2026).”

How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
