Summary
Ashley Gold Corp. reported final Phase II assays from hole TAK-26-09 at its Tak Project, including 0.304 g/t Au over 30.50m and a sub-interval of 0.454 g/t Au over 10.25m. These grades are considerably lower than the project's historical average, but the company suggests they could contribute to tonnage. Step-out drilling is ongoing, with assays pending from Phase III holes, and the company continues to broaden its geological model for the 67Z anomaly.
Reasoning: The reported drill results for hole TAK-26-09 show low-grade gold intercepts, significantly below the project's historical average, though the company highlights potential for tonnage building. While QA/QC is robust, the lack of true width and cut-off grade for composites reduces transparency.
Positive factors
- Good QA/QC disclosure
- Company sees potential for tonnage building
- Ongoing step-out drilling
Negative factors
- Low gold grades compared to project average
- Apparent width only, true width not disclosed for headline intercepts
- Cut-off grade for composites not disclosed

Classification and evidence
QA/QC Disclosedpositive
Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).
Why it applies: The release details QA/QC procedures including insertion of blanks, standards, and duplicates, states that ActLabs is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited, and confirms QP sign-off.
Evidence · text
“QAQC check samples are inserted every tenth sample consisting of either a blank substrate material, OREAS gold certified standard, or a duplicate is done by quarter cutting the previous sample interval and submitting the other quarter material as the QAQC sample. All samples are cut using a wet saw and placed in pre-labelled sample bags pertaining to the sample interval. When a sample interval is complete, the assay card is added to the respective sample bag and the bag is securely sealed while the matching waterproof tag is permanently stapled into the core box at the end of the sample interval. Rice bags are labelled with the company name, submission batch number, range of sample numbers contained, total number of samples, and rice bag number and range. The secured sample bags are then placed into the rice bags pertaining to the range labelled on the rice bag and then securely fastened with zip ties. Rice bags are stored in a secured shipping container until Company contractors transport completed holes to ActLabs in Dryden, ON for 1A2 Au fire assay.”
Apparent Width Onlynegative
Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.
Why it applies: The headline intercepts are given as downhole lengths without any mention of true width or drill orientation relative to mineralization.
Evidence · text
“Cuts 0.304 g/t Au over 30.50m, Including 0.454 g/t Au over 10.25m in TAK-26-09”
Cut-off Undisclosednegative
High-grade interval reported without stating the cut-off grade used for compositing.
Why it applies: The headline composite intervals are reported without stating the cut-off grade used for compositing.
Evidence · text
“Cuts 0.304 g/t Au over 30.50m, Including 0.454 g/t Au over 10.25m in TAK-26-09”
Nearology Playneutral
Value premise rests on proximity to a known deposit rather than own results.
Why it applies: The project is positioned by its proximity to a known deposit, the Goliath Gold Complex, as a key value driver.
Evidence · text
“Situated abutting the Northeast of the Goliath Gold Complex, the Tak Patents have been the subject of intermittent exploration efforts from the 1900’s”

Reasoning: The intercept of 0.304 g/t Au over 30.50m is a low-grade gold intercept, significantly below the project's average grade of 5.158 g/t Au, but the company suggests it could contribute to tonnage.
Positive factors
- Moderate intercept length
- Company sees potential for tonnage building
Negative factors
- Low gold grade compared to project average
- Apparent width only, true width not disclosed
- Cut-off grade for composites not disclosed

How Atlas produces this analysis
Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
