Summary
Ashley Gold Corp. announced significant gold drill results from hole TAK-26-07 at its Tak Patents project in Ontario, including 0.861 g/t Au over 62.35 m from below collar, with a higher-grade sub-interval of 1.111 g/t Au over 45.85 m. The company highlighted two near-surface intervals grading 11.3 g/t Au over 1.00 m and 1.08 m, and a deeper intercept of 4.28 g/t Au over 0.60 m. These results are considered the best in the project's history and confirm the potential for resource modeling.
Reasoning: Ashley Gold Corp. reported a significant gold intercept of 0.861 g/t Au over 62.35 m, including higher-grade zones up to 11.3 g/t Au, from hole TAK-26-07, which the company states is the best NI43-101 compliant drillhole in the project's history. This result confirms and expands mineralization near surface, with strong QA/QC protocols supporting the data.
Positive factors
- High-grade gold intercepts
- Significant intercept width
- Near-surface mineralization
- Confirmation of historical mineralization
- Detailed QA/QC disclosure
- QP sign-off
- Accredited laboratory used
Negative factors
- True width not stated for main intercept
Low confidence — this extraction should be reviewed alongside the original source.
Facts used in scoring: 107
Classification and evidence
Bonanza Interceptpositive
Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.
Why it applies: The document highlights two near-surface intervals grading 11.3 g/t Au over 1.00 m and 1.08 m, which are exceptionally high-grade for an open-pit gold project.
Evidence · text
“Two separate near-surface intervals each grading 11.3 g/t Au — 1.00 m starting at 28.00 m and 1.08 m starting at 37.32 m”
QA/QC Disclosedpositive
Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).
Why it applies: The release includes a detailed 'Quality Assurance / Quality Control' section outlining procedures, certified standards, blanks, duplicates, and laboratory accreditation.
Evidence · text
“The Company utilizes a drill rig recovering NQ core. All core is sealed in the field by the drill contractor and transported to the core logging facility. Core is then teched and logged by the Company geologist. Prior to geological logging and cutting, all core is systematically inspected and pieced back together until interlocked, depth measurements completed, RQD/Recovery measured, photographed dry and wet, and magnetic susceptibility measurements are taken. Sample intervals are then marked by grease pencil and flagged using ActLabs sample tags. QAQC check samples are inserted every tenth sample consisting of either a blank substrate material, OREAS gold certified standard, or a duplicate is done by quarter cutting the previous sample interval and submitting the other quarter material as the QAQC sample. All samples are cut using a wet saw and placed in pre-labelled sample bags pertaining to the sample interval. When a sample interval is complete, the assay card is added to the respective sample bag and the bag is securely sealed while the matching waterproof tag is permanently stapled into the core box at the end of the sample interval. Rice bags are labelled with the company name, submission batch number, range of sample numbers contained, total number of samples, and rice bag number and range. The secured sample bags are then placed into the rice bags pertaining to the range labelled on the rice bag and then securely fastened with zip ties. Rice bags are stored in a secured shipping container until Company contractors transport completed holes to ActLabs in Dryden, ON for 1A2 Au fire assay.”
QP/CP Signedpositive · Story-specific tag
Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) named and signed off — a member of a recognized professional association (e.g., AusIMM, SME, AIG, P.Geo) with relevant experience.
Why it applies: The technical information in the news release was reviewed and approved by Shannon Baird, P.Geo., a Qualified Person as defined in National Instrument 43-101.
Evidence · text
“The technical information in this news release was reviewed and approved by Shannon Baird, P.Geo., a Qualified Person as defined in National Instrument 43-101.”
Apparent Width Onlynegative
Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.
Why it applies: The document explicitly states that true widths of the exploration zones are not known at this point.
Evidence · text
“True widths of the exploration zones are not known at this point.”
Infill Drillingneutral
Confirmatory drilling to raise resource confidence, not new discovery.
Why it applies: The current hole TAK-26-07 was designed as a twin of historical holes TAK-02-06 and TAK-02-07, which is a form of infill drilling to confirm and potentially expand known mineralization.
Evidence · text
“This hole was designed as a twin of TAK-02-06 and TAK-02-07.”

How Atlas produces this analysis
Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
