## Minestarters Atlas summary

Alpha Exploration has announced a first batch of drill results from its Aburna Gold Project in Eritrea, highlighting a significant intercept of 31.00 m grading 1.12 g/t gold, including 12.00 m grading 2.09 g/t gold, in hole ABD029 at the new Obok prospect. The exploration program also returned multiple gold intercepts at the EER and SW targets, indicating potential to expand the Hill 52 prospect mineralization. These early-stage results demonstrate the under-explored nature and potential for further gold discoveries within the greater Aburna corridor.

Reasoning: Alpha Exploration has reported strong initial exploration drill results from new targets within the Aburna Gold Project, highlighted by a significant intercept in hole ABD029 at the new Obok prospect. These results, coupled with expansion potential at other targets, indicate high novelty and materiality for the early-stage exploration program. Robust QA/QC procedures support the confidence in the data, though the lack of specific true width disclosures for each intercept and an unspecified mining method introduce minor uncertainties.

- Positive factor: High-grade gold intercepts, particularly in hole ABD029, indicate significant mineralization.

- Positive factor: Discovery of new gold targets \(Obok\) and expansion potential at existing prospects \(Hill 52\) demonstrates district-scale potential.

- Positive factor: Comprehensive QA/QC procedures, including certified lab and QP sign-off, enhance data credibility.

- Positive factor: Drilling is early-stage exploration, suggesting significant upside potential for resource growth.

- Negative factor: True widths are estimated as a range rather than precisely stated for each intercept, leading to some uncertainty.

- Negative factor: The mining method is not specified, which can influence the economic viability of the reported grades.

Low confidence — this extraction should be reviewed alongside the original source.

## Classification and evidence

**QA/QC Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods \(blanks, standards, duplicates\).

Why it applies: The release details QA/QC procedures including the use of an independent and accredited laboratory \(Intertek\), certified reference materials \(OREAS\), blanks, and duplicate samples, with sign-off by a Qualified Person.

Evidence · text

> The results reported here for the Reverse Circulation \("RC"\) and Diamond Core \("DC"\) drilling were analysed by Intertek Minerals Ltd., an independent and accredited laboratory located in Tarkwa, Ghana. The RC and DC drilling was managed by Alpha Exploration's field team with the field operations conducted in-line with the standard operating procedures implemented at this project. Alpha uses an independent laboratory in Asmara \(NABRO\) to prepare drill samples for assaying. Representative one-metre samples from the RC drilling and half core samples of the NQ size and quarter core for HQ and PQ size, were crushed \(to >90% passing 2.0 mm\) and pulverised \(to >85% passing 75 micron\). A scoop sample of approximately 60g for laboratory analysis was taken. The coarse and pulp rejects were stored at Alpha's warehouse in Asmara. The Company uses appropriate duplicate samples and inserts certified reference material from OREAS \(www.ore.com.au\) into the sample stream. NABRO sample preparation facility inserts barren granodiorite material into the sample stream as blanks. The 60g sub-samples with inserted QA/QC samples of blanks and certified reference material every 20thfield sample were shipped to Intertek Minerals, Tarkwa, Ghana. The gold results at the laboratory were determined by using a 30g sub-sample for Fire Assay \("FA"\) and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy \("AAS"\) finish \(Intertek Code: FA30/AA\).

**Compositing Transparent**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Cut-off grade and internal dilution rules are clearly stated for reported intervals.

Why it applies: The document clearly states the nominal cut-off grades \(0.20 g/t Au and 0.40 g/t Au\) and maximum internal dilution \(3 metres and 11 metres\) used for determining the reported intersections.

Evidence · text

> A nominal cut-off grade of 0.20 g/t Au has been used to determine the boundaries of these intersections with no more than 3 metres of internal dilution of the intercepts. \*A nominal cut-off grade of 0.40 g/t Au has been used to determine the boundaries of this intersection with no more than 11 metres of internal dilution of the intercept.

**Apparent Width Only**

Polarity: negative

Definition: Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.

Why it applies: The document states that true widths are estimated to range between 70% and 90% of the drilled intersections, but does not provide specific true width calculations for individual intercepts.

Evidence · text

> Based upon current data and interpretation it is estimated true widths range between 70% and 90% of the drilled intersections.

**Step-Out Extension**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.

Why it applies: The drilling program is described as 'early testing of four of seven new gold targets' and aims to 'expand the Hill 52 prospect gold mineralization' and 'test extensions to the Obok prospect'.

Evidence · text

> Alpha is pleased to announce a first batch of results from its ongoing exploration drilling programme at the Aburna Gold Project. Core drill hole ABD029 has successfully intersected 12 metres grading 2.09 g/t gold within 31 metres grading 1.12 g/t gold which, coupled with other geological information and interpretation, advances this former exploration target to key prospect status. In addition, initial exploration drilling results at the EER and SW targets have returned multiple gold intercepts, demonstrating the potential to expand the Hill 52 prospect gold mineralization.

**QA/QC Disclosed**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods \(blanks, standards, duplicates\).

Why it applies: qaqc\_disclosed is true

**Compositing Transparent**

Polarity: positive

Definition: Cut-off grade and internal dilution rules are clearly stated for reported intervals.

Why it applies: cutoff\_grade and internal dilution are both stated

**Nearology Play**

Polarity: neutral

Definition: Value premise rests on proximity to a known deposit rather than own results.

Why it applies: proximity is offered as the value premise: "Alpha expects to release further batches of results in the coming weeks and months as they are received from the laborat"

## How Atlas produces this analysis

Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
