Summary
AbraSilver Resource Corp. announced final Phase V drill results from its Diablillos project in Argentina, highlighted by high-grade silver-gold intercepts at the JAC deposit, including 6.0 metres at 1,093 g/t silver and 2.42 g/t gold. These results will be integrated into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate that underpins the ongoing Definitive Feasibility Study, which remains on track for Q2/2026 completion. The company also reported progress on environmental approvals and the Large Investment Incentive Regime framework.
Reasoning: The company reported final Phase V drill results with high-grade silver-gold intercepts that expand resource potential and confirm mineralization continuity, which will be incorporated into an upcoming MRE underpinning a DFS. Additionally, significant progress is being made on key environmental and investment approvals.
Positive factors
- High-grade silver-gold intercepts
- Expansion of Mineral Resource growth potential
- Continuity of mineralization confirmed
- Progress on Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS)
- Positive progress on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) approvals
Negative factors
- True widths for drill intercepts are not yet known
Facts used in scoring: 16
Classification and evidence
Bonanza Interceptpositive
Exceptionally high-grade zone, well above the deposit-type norm.
Why it applies: The intercept in DDH 25-104 of 6.0 m at 1,093 g/t silver and 2.42 g/t gold is exceptionally high-grade, well above the typical thresholds for silver and gold.
Evidence · text
“6.0 m at 1,093 g/t silver & 2.42 g/t gold”
Apparent Width Onlynegative
Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.
Why it applies: The document explicitly states that widths are reported as drilled and true widths are not yet known for the drill results.
Evidence · text
“Widths are reported as drilled; true widths are not yet known.”
QA/QC Disclosedpositive
Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).
Why it applies: The release details industry-standard QA/QC procedures including sample collection, logging, splitting, insertion of blanks, certified reference materials, duplicates, and chain-of-custody protocols.
Evidence · text
“AbraSilver applies industry standard exploration methodologies and techniques, and all drill core samples are collected under the supervision of the Company's geologists in accordance with industry best practices. Drill core is transported from the drill platform to the logging facility where drill data is compared and verified with the core in the trays. Thereafter, it is logged, photographed, and split by diamond saw prior to being sampled. Samples are then bagged, and quality control materials are inserted at regular intervals at site; these include blanks and certified reference materials as well as duplicate core samples which are collected in order to assess sampling precision and reproducibility. Groups of samples are then placed in large bags which are sealed with numbered tags in order to maintain a chain-of-custody during the transport of the samples from the project site to the laboratory. All samples are received by the ASA (Alex Stewart Argentina) preparation laboratory in Salta, where they are prepared, then the pulp sachet is directly dispatched to its facility in Mendoza, Argentina, where they are analyzed. All samples are analyzed using a multi-element technique consisting of a four-acid digestion followed by ICP/AES detection, and gold is analyzed by 50g Fire Assay with an AAS finish. Silver results greater than 100g/t are re-analyzed using four acid digestion with an ore grade AAS finish.”
QP/CP Signedpositive
Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) named and signed off — a member of a recognized professional association (e.g., AusIMM, SME, AIG, P.Geo) with relevant experience.
Why it applies: David O'Connor P.Geo., Chief Geologist for AbraSilver, is named as the Qualified Person who reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in the news release, and Luis Rodrigo Peralta, B.Sc., FAusIMM CP (Geo), is named as the Independent Qualified Person for the MRE.
Evidence · text
“David O'Connor P.Geo., Chief Geologist for AbraSilver, is the Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects, and he has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information in this news release.”
NI 43-101 Compliantpositive
Resource estimate prepared in compliance with NI 43-101 (Canada) — high reporting standard.
Why it applies: The Mineral Resource Estimate is stated to be categorized in accordance with the CIM Definition Standards (CIM, 2014) and estimated by an Independent Qualified Person under NI 43-101.
Evidence · text
“The MRE has been categorized in accordance with the CIM Definition Standards (CIM, 2014).”
Resource Updateneutral
Revised estimate for an existing resource — compare to prior to assess progress.
Why it applies: The document presents an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the Diablillos project, incorporating the latest drill results.
Evidence · text
“The most recent Mineral Resource estimate for Diablillos is shown in Table 3”
DFS-Supportingneutral
Resource estimate prepared to support a Definitive Feasibility Study — requires high M&I confidence.
Why it applies: The drill results and MRE update are explicitly stated to be 'underpinning the Company's Definitive Feasibility Study'.
Evidence · text
“underpinning the Company's Definitive Feasibility Study ("DFS")”
Inferred Resourcenegative
Speculative category — limited drilling, geological continuity assumed but not confirmed. Cannot support economic studies alone.
Why it applies: The MRE includes a significant portion of Inferred resources for both Tank Leach and Heap Leach zones, which are speculative and require further drilling.

How Atlas produces this analysis
Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
