Summary
AbraSilver Resource Corp. announced new assay results from its Phase VI drill program at the Diablillos project in Argentina, highlighting broad gold-dominant mineralization at Oculto East, including a significant intercept of 171.0 metres grading 0.83 g/t gold. These step-out results demonstrate strong potential to expand mineralization beyond the current open pit constrained Mineral Resource estimate. The company also provided an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for Diablillos as of July 21, 2025, showing substantial Measured and Indicated resources for both tank leach and heap leach scenarios.
Reasoning: New drill results from Oculto East demonstrate significant gold-silver mineralization extending beyond the current resource boundary, including a broad high-grade intercept, reinforcing the potential for resource growth at the Diablillos project. This is supported by an updated NI 43-101 compliant Mineral Resource Estimate with substantial Measured and Indicated categories.
Positive factors
- Broad, continuous gold-dominant intercepts
- Higher-grade intervals within broader zones
- Expansion of mineralization beyond current resource limits
- Significant opportunity for continued Mineral Resource growth
- NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate
- QP/CP signed off on resource
- Metal equivalent assumptions disclosed
- Economic cut-off parameters disclosed for resource
Negative factors
- True widths of drill intercepts not yet known
Low confidence — this extraction should be reviewed alongside the original source.
Facts used in scoring: 8
Classification and evidence
Apparent Width Onlynegative
Interval given as downhole width with no true width or drill orientation — apparent width may overstate true thickness.
Why it applies: The drill results explicitly state 'Widths are reported as drilled; true widths are not yet known.'
Evidence · text
“Widths are reported as drilled; true widths are not yet known.”
Step-Out Extensionpositive
Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.
Why it applies: The drill program aims to 'expand mineralization beyond the current open pit constrained Mineral Resource estimate'.
Evidence · text
“expand mineralization beyond the current open pit constrained Mineral Resource estimate”
QA/QC Disclosedpositive
Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).
Why it applies: The release includes a detailed 'QA/QC and Core Sampling Protocols' section outlining industry standard procedures, certified reference materials, blanks, duplicates, and chain-of-custody.
Evidence · text
“QA/QC and Core Sampling Protocols AbraSilver applies industry standard exploration methodologies and techniques, and all drill core samples are collected under the supervision of the Company's geologists in accordance with industry best practices. Drill core is transported from the drill platform to the logging facility where drill data is compared and verified with the core in the trays. Thereafter, it is logged, photographed, and split by diamond saw prior to being sampled. Samples are then bagged, and quality control materials are inserted at regular intervals at site; these include blanks and certified reference materials as well as duplicate core samples which are collected in order to assess sampling precision and reproducibility. Groups of samples are then placed in large bags which are sealed with numbered tags in order to maintain a chain-of-custody during the transport of the samples from the project site to the laboratory. All samples are received by the ASA (Alex Stewart Argentina) preparation laboratory in Salta, where they are prepared, then the pulp sachet is directly dispatched to its facility in Mendoza, Argentina, where they are analyzed. All samples are analyzed using a multi-element technique consisting of a four-acid digestion followed by ICP/AES detection, and gold is analyzed by 50g Fire Assay with an AAS finish. Silver results greater than 100g/t are re-analyzed using four acid digestion with an ore grade AAS finish.”
Compositing Transparentpositive
Cut-off grade and internal dilution rules are clearly stated for reported intervals.
Why it applies: The drill results note states 'Assays are uncut & undiluted'.
Evidence · text
“Assays are uncut & undiluted.”
Measured Resourcepositive
Highest confidence category — tonnage, grade, shape well-established from closely-spaced drilling. Basis for Proven Reserves.
Why it applies: The resource estimate includes a 'Measured' category for both tank leach and heap leach scenarios.

NI 43-101 Compliantpositive
Resource estimate prepared in compliance with NI 43-101 (Canada) — high reporting standard.
Why it applies: The resource estimate is stated to be in accordance with 'CIM Definition Standards (CIM, 2014)' and prepared by an 'Independent Qualified Person under NI 43-101'.
Evidence · text
“Independent Qualified Person under NI 43-101”
Cut-off Disclosedpositive
Cut-off grade used for resource reporting is clearly stated, enabling like-for-like comparison.
Why it applies: The resource estimate discloses the economic parameters and methodology ('Net Value per block [NVB] calculation') used to constrain the resource within a conceptual open pit shell, including metal prices and recoveries.
Evidence · text
“The Mineral Resource is reported inside a conceptual Whittle open pit shell derived using US$ 27.50/oz Ag price, US $2,400/oz Au price, 83% process recovery for Ag, and 87% process recovery for Au. The constraining open pit optimization parameters used were US $1.94/t mining cost, US $22.96/t processing cost, US $3.32/t G&A cost, and average 51-degree open pit slopes. The MRE has been categorized in accordance with the CIM Definition Standards (CIM, 2014). A Net Value per block [NVB] calculation was used to constrain the Mineral Resource”
Inferred Resourcenegative
Speculative category — limited drilling, geological continuity assumed but not confirmed. Cannot support economic studies alone.
Why it applies: The resource estimate includes an 'Inferred' category for both tank leach and heap leach scenarios.

How Atlas produces this analysis
Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
