Minestarters Atlas analysis
Summary
1911 Gold Corporation announced high-grade gold assay results from its underground resource expansion drill program at the True North Gold Project in Manitoba, Canada. The drilling successfully extended gold mineralization in the 710-711 and 007 zones, with highlights including 32.90 g/t Au over 0.50 m and 7.55 g/t Au over 5.00 m. These results will be incorporated into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate expected in Q4/2026.
Reasoning: The drill results show multiple high-grade gold intercepts that successfully extend known mineralization at the True North Gold Project, supporting an upcoming resource update and demonstrating significant exploration upside.
Positive factors
- High-grade gold intercepts, including 32.90 g/t Au over 0.50 m and 32.40 g/t Au over 1.10 m, demonstrate strong mineralization.
- Successful extension of gold mineralization by 60 m up-plunge in the 710-711 Zone and 120 m down-plunge in the 007 Zone, expanding the known resource footprint.
- Results will be incorporated into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate, indicating progress towards resource growth.
- Comprehensive QA/QC procedures are disclosed, including the use of certified laboratories (Actlabs, ALS-Chemex) and insertion of blanks, standards, and duplicates.
- The Qualified Person (QP) has reviewed and approved the technical information, adding credibility to the results.
Negative factors
- Reported intercept lengths are downhole, with true widths estimated to be 60% to 90%, which may overstate actual thickness for some intervals.
- Some of the highest-grade intercepts are over narrow widths (e.g., 0.50 m), which could impact mineability.
Facts used in scoring: 38
Classification and evidence
True Width Disclosedpositive
Actual thickness perpendicular to structure is stated, not just downhole length.
Why it applies: The release states that intervals represent drill core length and are considered to represent 60% to 90% of true widths.
Evidence · text
“Intervals represent drill core length and are considered to represent 60% to 90% of true widths”
Step-Out Extensionpositive
Mineralization extended beyond the previously known limit.
Why it applies: Drilling confirmed extensions of gold mineralization outside the current Mineral Resource Estimate, extending the 710-711 Zone by 60 m and the 007 Zone by 120 m.
Evidence · text
“Drilling targeted potential extensions of the 710-711 and 007 zones outside the current Mineral Resource Estimate”
QA/QC Disclosedpositive
Release includes QA/QC disclosure — certified lab, QP sign-off, or stated methods (blanks, standards, duplicates).
Why it applies: The release includes a detailed QA/QC section mentioning sample collection, preparation, analysis by Actlabs and ALS-Chemex, and insertion of certified reference materials, blanks, and duplicates.
Evidence · text
“Quality Assurance/Quality Controls (QA/QC) Oriented core samples are collected by sawing the drill core in half along the axis, with one-half sampled, placed in plastic sample bags, labelled, sealed, and the other half retained for future reference. Batches are shipped to Activation Laboratories Ltd. (Actlabs), in Thunder Bay, Ontario, for sample preparation and analysis. Samples are dried, crushed to 2 mm and a 1 kg split is pulverized to -200 mesh. Gold analysis is completed by fire assay with an atomic absorption finish on 50 grams of prepared pulp. Samples returning values equal or greater to 10.00 g/t are reanalyzed by fire assay with a gravimetric finish. Total gold analysis (Screen Metallic Sieve) is conducted on highly mineralized samples or the presence of visible gold. Certified gold reference material samples are inserted every 20 samples and blank samples at intervals of one in every 50 samples, with additional blanks inserted after samples hosting visible gold. Repeat third-party gold analyses for 5% of all submitted sample pulps are analyzed at ALS-Chemex Laboratory, North Vancouver, Canada.”
Compositing Transparentpositive
Cut-off grade and internal dilution rules are clearly stated for reported intervals.
Why it applies: The release clearly states the cut-off grade of 2.25 g/t Au and a maximum of 2.50 m internal dilution used for reporting intercepts.
Evidence · text
“Intercepts above a cut-off grade of 2.25 g/t Au Maximum of 2.50 m internal dilution and no top capping applied”
QP/CP Signedpositive
Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) named and signed off — a member of a recognized professional association (e.g., AusIMM, SME, AIG, P.Geo) with relevant experience.
Why it applies: Mr. Michele Della Libera, P.Geo, Vice-President Exploration of 1911 Gold Corporation, is named as the Qualified Person responsible for reviewing and approving the scientific and technical information.
Evidence · text
“The scientific and technical information in this news release has been reviewed and approved by Mr. Michele Della Libera, P.Geo, Vice-President Exploration of 1911 Gold Corporation, who is a “Qualified Person” as defined under NI 43-101.”
Infill Drillingneutral
Confirmatory drilling to raise resource confidence, not new discovery.
Why it applies: The overall program includes an 'infill and delineation drill program' alongside resource expansion drilling.
Evidence · text
“The Company’s ongoing infill and delineation drill program on areas contemplated for test mining and the early years of the Preliminary Economic Assessment mine schedule is being conducted from underground with three (3) drill rigs”

How Atlas produces this analysis
Minestarters Atlas uses automated extraction to summarize mining announcements, identify reported measurements, and classify supporting evidence. Sentiment reflects the extracted narrative and classification rules; it is an interpretation, not a reported measurement. Evidence quotes and context are provided where available. Missing data, low-confidence results, and review flags indicate limitations. Check the original publisher announcement before relying on an interpretation.
